UK Projects
Local projects, lasting change.
At Care Bridge Alliance, our UK projects are shaped by the communities we serve. We work with children, families, older people and those who feel left behind — not just to “offer support,” but to rebuild belonging, spark joy, and open up new possibilities.
From a football match on a Saturday morning to a gentle walk for someone who hasn’t left the house in weeks — every project we run is a chance to reconnect people with life, purpose, and one another.
Reaching the Isolated and Forgotten
Too many elderly people in our communities spend days — even weeks — without meaningful contact.
At Care Bridge Alliance, we don’t just visit — we listen, we laugh, we walk beside them.
We create:
Safe spaces for elderly individuals to socialise, feel heard and
Friendly group meet-ups that turn strangers into companions
One-to-one support for those with limited mobility or health concerns
Gentle community walks for those who’ve lost the confidence to go out alone
These moments may seem small — but for someone who hasn’t had a conversation in days, they mean everything.
We’re not just reducing loneliness. We’re restoring dignity, identity and joy.
Sport That Includes Everyone
Across the UK, there are children and young people who want to get involved — but can’t afford the fees, don’t feel welcome, or simply lack safe spaces to play.
That’s where we come in.
We run:
Free football sessions for boys and girls of all backgrounds
Boxing groups that build self-discipline and pride
Cycling, walking and hiking days that give children a chance to breathe, explore, and feel free
We don’t focus on ability. We focus on belonging.
For the young people who join us, it’s not just about sport — it’s about feeling valued, included, and part of something positive.
Movement That Heals
Some of the most powerful moments in our work happen outdoors — on a park bench, walking along a canal path, or hiking a hill together.
Our walks and hikes are designed for:
Families under pressure to take a break and reconnect
Carers to get a breather and meet others who understand
Children to explore nature safely and build confidence
Older people who need a gentle hand to rediscover the world outside their door
These experiences open up conversations, reduce stress, and offer a sense of calm in busy or overwhelming lives.
Because movement isn’t just good for the body — it brings peace to the mind and heart.

What This Means for Our Communities
These aren’t just “projects” to us.
They are bridges.
Bridges between:
Generations – as children learn from elders and elders feel young again
Cultures – as people from all backgrounds walk side-by-side
Isolation and inclusion – as no one is left to struggle alone
When someone joins one of our sessions — no matter their age or ability — they are welcomed, accepted, and encouraged.
They find friendship, confidence, and support. They realise they matter.
That’s the power of care in action.
Where We Work
We’re currently delivering projects across Greater Manchester, Tameside and surrounding areas, with plans to grow into other parts of the UK where the need is high and the opportunities are low.
We focus on communities where:
People feel disconnected or overlooked
Access to wellbeing and activity is limited
A small act of kindness could change someone’s week
Want to Get Involved?
There are many ways to support our UK work:
Volunteer for a walk, group or event
Partner with us to run a local project
Refer someone who may benefit from our sessions
Sponsor a programme in your area
Every action you take helps us reach someone who might otherwise go unseen.
Together, we’re not just running projects — we’re building a more connected, compassionate UK.
